Crew Fates

Spoilers. This page lists the spendable flags attached to each named sailor in Static Dread: The Submarine. Pair it with the endings guide and the achievements checklist. Assignment basics stay on crew management. The human roster without flags is the Crew Hub.

The game is single-player. These fates are yours alone. Retail launched 14 August 2026.

Timmy

  • Safety — shoot him after the algae read.
  • Chance — spare him, lock him, look for a cure. Field manual: how to deal with Timmy. This flag colors later “will you shoot us too” lines and whether a walker remains on the boat. It does not, by itself, guarantee Dream Team or doom Survivors.

Sharon

  • Force her to fulfill duties versus leave her alone (two hidden trophies at launch).
  • Sharon Unhinged — let her crack under the deep.
  • She can uncover the truth about the Captain. Kind runs keep her working without breaking her. Mission runs spend the wrench. If she dies, you become engineering during the reactor chain.

Zack

  • Psychotherapy — receive his journal. Talk, do not discard him.
  • Let him take a fatal radiation dose.
  • Zack of the Deep — reborn in the Great Old One’s image. Navigation plus mythos. Protect him if you want charts and paper. Offer him to the glow if you want that particular nightmare credits.

Michael

  • Michael Unraveled — watch him lose his mind aboard the boat. Logistics collapse is quieter than a gunshot and just as expensive. Keep him staffed if you still want parts and salvage such as drone recoveries mentioned in the story walkthrough.

Kelly

  • Stop Kelly — a dedicated trophy, which means a scene where you intercept her.
  • Comms and medical are her lanes. Spending her on unrelated hull work is how kind runs accidentally fail. Reviewers who wanted a bigger family-lineage payoff mostly did not get one. Treat her as a specialist first, a novella second.

Captain and the rest of the boat

  • Knock Knock — sealed Captain’s compartment.
  • Grief, Obligations, The Boy, New Friend — scene trophies that fire around specific conversations rather than a roster card.
  • Mutated-crew deaths (The Last Supper) can erase multiple fates at once. Trap, do not spray. How to survive.

Building a flag set

Dream Team: spare Timmy, keep the core four breathing, refuse the worst labor, stop Kelly if that scene is a lethal fork, evade suicide pings. Confirm on endings.

Mythos catalog: allow cracks (Sharon, Michael, Zack), deliver keys, love the bomb, meet the Enemy, walk to Blackfort. You will not also have a full crew.

Speed death: fail the accident or walk into the unknown under-equipped.

You cannot hold every trophy in one file. Timmy alone splits the tree. Plan a kind file and a cruel file. Use sonar so a heading does not accidentally spend a sailor you meant to save. Use Controls so a fumbled gun does not spend Timmy by mistake.

If a dialogue option says there is no going back, that is a fate lock, not flavor. The review dinged the game for shrugging after some locks. Still, the middle of the watch changes a lot. That is the replay. For launch-file confusion, launch notes.

Write the names down. The Ares will not.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Can I save everyone and still see the temple?

Usually not. Investigation flags and Dream Team pull in opposite directions.

Which Timmy choice is required for Dream Team?

Sparing keeps a body alive. You still have to keep the core four alive through later scenes.

Does forcing Sharon always ruin kind runs?

It risks Unhinged and deaths. Kind runs prefer leaving her agency intact while still staffing engineering.

Where is the full ending list?

On the Endings Guide. This page only maps people to flags.
